Not my best week. Stress and frustration got to me and I did not stick to the diet perfectly and therefore, I gained two pounds!  Just another check in on the Great Weight Write-off! Frustrations must be faced rather than ignored. Problems must be handled assertively rather than letting the problems run you. Back to Lent and Planning Baptisms

I’ve been unwell and this has messed with my goal of perfect attendance on my prayers for this season.  I’m catching up now that I feel a bit better, and accepting that being miserably ill is a good penance for me.  We should give thanks in all things and so being miserably ill is a good time to practice being thankful even in the midst of being miserable with a head-ache that just would not quit. Lay Person, Christian, Saint…say what?

What is a Lay Person? I’m Baptized Christian, specifically a Catholic Christian, and as I am not a priest that means I am a LAY PERSON. Even monks, friars, sisters and nuns are LAY PEOPLE, unless the monk or friar is also a priest.  A Lay person is any baptized Christian who has not received Holy Orders.  That is pretty much every Christian out there.  We are all called to be Saints.
