Divorce strikes at the heart of our vocations that include marriage. Divorce is a symptom of flaws in how we develop ourselves and in the way we choose our spouses. More study of those flaws and what needs to be done to correct them will go far in the effort to decrease divorce. I have MET SUPERMOM! I’m hating the fat suit and doing something about it. Catholics believe in seven sacraments, some of which cannot be undone once they are done: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Reconciliation, Marriage, Holy Orders, and Anointing of the Sick. Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage and Holy Orders are one time and permanent. Civil Marriage is what the government does, Sacramental Marriage may occur at the same time as a civil marriage but they are not the same thing. On my favorite forum we had a discussion about divorce. Agreed upon was that divorce is too common among Catholics. I believe it is also too common among other Christians as well, but here I deal from the Catholic perspective and allow other Christians to apply the ideas to their own situations.
