I loved listening to Governor Romney. There were moments when Romney’s graciousness and class shined brightly and moments when his turn of phrase reminded me of my favorite president of all time. But the most telling part of the debate came with the prepared statements made by the candidates. Incumbent President Obama referred to Americans as “they” and “them” rather than “we” and “us” revealing his elitist anti-Americanism. Governor Romney’s position on jobs creation and energy independence resonated with me. I was sent this article: Abortifacients–pharmakeia and sorcery by a friend and decided to share it with my readers. The footnotes about the Biblical take on birth control were great. I like this quote from the footnotes of the article: “Pharmakeia denotes the mixing of potions for secretive purposes, and from Soranos and others, evidence exists of artificial birth control potions. Interestingly, pharmakeia is oftentimes translated as ‘sorcery’ in English.
