Catholic Science Texts

I firmly believe in Catholic home school materials. Not so much for indoctrination, but because it is important to me to demonstrate to my children that our Faith is to inform every area of our lives and this includes our learning. The Fall of Byzantium: conquest and destruction of the Christian East

I am tired of hearing that the crusades were western aggression against a peaceful Muslim population when that is flat out WRONG.  The article, “Exclusive – ‘Tyranny of Clichés’ Excerpt: The Truth About the Crusades” does a nice job repudiating this particular cliché. 100,000 Memorares in May

100,000 Memorares in May over at WDTPRS because Bishop Finn asked for them. Good idea. Here is the prayer: The Memorare Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen. I enjoy the prayers handed down in the Church very much. This … Continue reading
