Gratitude is an essential part of the worship of God.  Without gratitude for the gift of grace there is something lacking in our acceptance. Without gratitude for the Holy Spirit there is a lack in our openness to receive what God wants to give us.  Gratitude opens us up for ever greater blessings. Gratitude is what makes accepting gifts from God an act of worship.

Dear Lord, thank You for Your grace, thank You for the Holy Spirit, thank You for the opportunity to worship you with gratitude in the Mass and in my prayers.  Please help me to become ever more aware of the incredible gifts You give and receive them with gratitude.  Amen.
