Other Person’s Glad Tidings

I’ve recently noticed something about myself; I noticed that when I am sad and in difficulties, reading about something good happening to a friend or acquaintance helps me feel hopeful.  That is one of the reasons that community is so important.  We create little groups, sometimes in person, sometimes online, sometimes a mix of the two, and in that little group we share back and forth about the events of our lives to the benefit of the community. Nostagia or ?

Once upon a time I showed dogs, bred champions, trained in obedience and agility, did all the proper health testing even if there wasn’t a problem in my breed, and even trained to be an AKC judge. I then went through a crisis and ended up letting it all go. So now, I enjoy my pets but they are not particularly trained. Advent Mis-Adventures

Sunday, first Sunday in Advent, saw me happily leaving the house early to be early to an early Mass. Ten minutes later a car crossed my lane to make a left onto the road and caused a rather serious accident. I clearly saw her, saw the pickup coming down the road from the opposite direction to me, and suddenly, she pulls out directly into my path.
